A case of criminal conspiracy, cheating, and forgery has been registered against Arun Bhansali who was nabbed by the CBI sleuths from Jodhpur.
"It was alleged that the private person, resident of Amar Bagh, Jodhpur was impersonating a CBI Officer and has extorted money from various persons for securing appointment as Investigation Officer in CBI at different locations," CBI Press Information Officer R K Gaur said here today.
He said searches have been conducted at his residence in Jodhpur, which led to recovery of fake CBI identity card in his name; fake letter of recruitment and recommendations on the letter heads of the agency purported to have been issued from its headquarters here along with rubber stamp used for issuing the said letters.
