The searches were carried out at Bhopal and Khajuraho, they said.
According to CBI, the LIC Regional Manager posted at the Zonal Office here was found to be in possession of assets worth over Rs 69.04 lakh which was disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Following a complaint in this regard, the investigating agency had registered a case against the officer on November 30 and later obtained search warrant from the court of Special Judge, CBI cases, Bhopal.
The sleuths today conducted the searches at three places and seized various incriminating documents from there, they said, adding the scrutiny of documents is underway.
