The Special Branch of CBI today interrogated Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Hassan Imran for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore Saradha ponzi scam.
A CBI source told PTI that Hassan was asked to depose before the agency day before yesterday to explain his dealings with Sudipto Sen, owner of the tainted Saradha Group.
He said the Trinamool MP was interrogated for nearly 90 minutes.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) simultaneously probing the Saradha money trail had earlier interrogated him last year.
Hassan was working in the capacity of editor of a Bengali newspaper 'Kalom' owned by Sen.
