Shocked by the sudden CBI raids on the premises of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh last week, the Himachal Pradesh government today decided to probe if there were any "lapses" in the intelligence system that caught the government unawares and spruce up the network.
Apart from the personnel, the system would be spruced up and the chain of command and the methods of collecting intelligence will be reworked, an official spokesman said.
Lapses, if any, would also be dealt with strictly, the spokesman said.
The CBI had simultaneous raided the premises of Chief minister on September 26 after registering the FIR on September 23 but the state intelligence had no clue and had failed to provide any input to the government.
There has been no regular ADGP (CID) after promotion of S R Mardi and the charge is being held by the DGP.
