CBI shielding those responsible in Gopalgarh incident:Cong MLA

Congress legislator Zahida Khan today accused CBI of shielding those responsible in the infamous Gopalgarh firing incident in Bharatpur and demanded that the case be transferred to another agency.
Khan, who was once quizzed by the CBI in connection with the case, in a public meeting at Kathon area in Bharatpur said that future course of action of agitation would be announced if the demands were not met.
"CBI is trying to wrongly implicate our innocent people and shield those, particularly from police and district administration. We demand the government to change the investigation in order to make the probe unbiased," Khan said.

A representation would be forwarded to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and competent authorities at the Centre to press for the demands, she said.

Opposition BJP had also recently alleged that the CBI was trying to wrongly implicate some of its local leaders and sitting MLA Anita Singh in the case.
