CBI said inspector Ashok Yadav of the agency, who had gone for the trap case, was suspended and inquiry has been instituted after a CCTV footage showed the sleuth misbehaving with police inspector Rajesh Shukla, who was allegedly arrested while receiving the bribe.
The decision to suspend the CBI inspector came after some of the television channels aired his alleged high-handedness.
CBI Director Ranjit Sinha has been categorical about maintenance of discipline amongst his rank and file and senior officials took immediate action as such incidents of indiscipline were unacceptable.
