CBI today told the Supreme Court that it has got most of the Coalgate files from the Ministry of Coal except the two which also include the minutes of the screening committee on the coal block allocation.
"Two files by them have not been given to us and one of the files is about the minutes of the screening committee," the investigating officers told a bench headed by justice R M Lodha.
The investigating officers said CBI has got "more or less most of the files" relating to the coal block allocation.
The bench, also comprising justices M B Lokur and Kurian Joseph, in its order noted that the latest status report filed by CBI also stated about "two prelimiary inquiries pertaining to the missing documents" on which the probe is on.
The investigators said the agency has collected files relating to court cases and RTIs from the Ministry of Coal on the coal block allocation.
