The second day of the 20th Annual National Sahodaya Conference focussed on preparing children, teachers and parents for the future.
The day started with Dr Sadhana Parashar, Director, Academics, Training, Research and Innovation, CBSE briefing the gathering about the myriad innovations and educational reforms that CBSE has undertaken to make its education infrastructure more student friendly.
She said an eclectic mix of teachers-dominated learning and group activities can be of utmost benefit for students.
Laying stress on equality, she said, "Curriculum should be able to guard plurality and be sensitive to diversity."
CBSE Chairman Vineet Joshi presented the latest statistics (2013) showcasing the effectiveness of School vs. Board examinations.
He said, "School examinations have been introduced to make teachers more accountable. By the survey, we also noticed that schools have a high degree of self-restraint. Only 68 out of approximately 13,000 schools have the tendency to over-grade their students.
