Central Railway Nagpur division's earnings up 15.7 pc

The Nagpur division of Central Railway has earned a revenue of Rs 2,031.21 crores from April to December in 2014 against Rs 1,755.56 crores during the same period in 2013, showing an increase of 15.7 per cent.
On the freight side, the division received Rs 1,643.28 crores during April-December as compared to Rs 1,422.21 crores in the same period the previous year, a rise of 15.5 per cent.
Besides, the earnings from passengers showed an increase of 17.5 per cent as the division earned Rs 337.10 crores in the same period as against Rs 286.81 crores during the corresponding period in the previous year, a release from Nagpur division of Central Railway said.
