Chairing a high level meeting here, Union Home Secretary Anil Goswami took stock of the relief and rehabilitation works being carried out in Jammu and Kashmir which was hit by a devastating flood.
He directed all central agencies to offer full cooperation to the Jammu and Kashmir government in relief and rehabilitation works.
Goswami also reviewed the flood situation in Assam and Meghalaya and offered the two state governments all central help.
Teams of the National Disaster Response Force have been sent to Meghalaya to deal with the flood situation in Garo hills.
Both Assam and Meghalaya are facing floods after heavy rains in last two days.
