Ch'garh govt inks MoU for production of bio-fuel

The Chhattisgarh government has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the production of bio-fuel to be utilised for flying aircrafts.
Chhattisgarh Bio-Fuel Development Authority (an undertaking of the state government) and Indian Petroleum Institute, backed up by Dehradun-based Council of Science and Industrial Research (CSIR) signed the agreement last evening in the presence of Chief Minister Raman Singh, an official here said today.
As per the MoU, both the agencies will jointly work on production of bio-fuel through many sources, including Jatropha plants for aircrafts under an action plan for next three years, he said.
The agreement was signed between Executive Director, CBDA Shailendra Shukla and Director Indian Petroleum Institute Anjan Rai.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister instructed officials concerned to chalk out work plan in this connection at the earliest and start work for its implementation, the official said.
