Speaking at a function organised to celebrate the 477th birth anniversary of the Rajput warrior, the Governor said, "Even today, he lives in our hearts because he showed us the way to protect the motherland."
With the setting up of the Maharana Pratap Chair, there would be a healthy exchange of thoughts between academicians, especially historian from Punjab and Rajasthan, he said.
Academic research could be encouraged on the philosophy and values of Maharana Pratap who was an epitome of valour, heroism, pride and patriotism, Badnore said.
