Its net profit stood at Rs 294.61 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing.
However, the company's total income from operations rose to Rs 10,527.32 crore in the financial year 2015-16 from Rs 9,737.74 crore in the previous fiscal.
On standalone basis, Chambal Fertilisers posted a net loss of Rs 29.43 crore in the quarter ended March. Its loss stood at Rs 103.57 crore in the year-ago period.
Income from operations rose marginally to Rs 1,595.29 crore during January-March quarter of last fiscal from Rs 1,553.10 crore in the corresponding period of 2014-15 fiscal.
