Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today dismissed as 'media creation' reports that the Indian Union Muslim League, the second largest partner in the Congress led UDF government, was upset with the coalition over certain issues.
"It is all your (media) creation. There is nothing like that," he told reporters to a question in this regard during a cabinet briefing.
The absence of IUML ministers from the contract agreement signing function between the state government and Adani Group for Vizhinjam port development on August 17 had lent credence to reports that IUML was not happy with the coalition.
"The IUML ministers did not attend as there was meeting of their party in Kozhikode that day," the CM said when asked about the absence of IUML representatives in the function.
CPI(M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had also questioned the absence of Chief Secretary Jiji Thomson.
Referring to Balakrishnan's comment, Chandy said, "It is very sad that CPI(M) took up this kind of issue to attack the UDF government.
