Briefing newspersons at a press conference here, Chandy said that he had detailed discussions with the minister about the conversion of National Highways 17 and 47 into four-way lanes.
Asked about the opposition to the multi-crore Vizhinjam International Deep water multi-purpose Seaport, the Chief Minister said that the state government would take all measures to ensure that the affected persons are being rehabilitated in an appropriate manner.
Rs 128.4 crore has been earmarked for the rehabilitation of labourers, who could be affected due to the project, he added.
