Sharing this information in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha, HRD Minister Smriti Irani also said that the President of India, as Visitor of the University, is the appointing authority of the Vice Chancellor.
"The reply of the Vice Chancellor, along with its examination by the ministry, was sent to the Visitor for appropriate decision in the matter. The Visitor has returned the file recently with the observation to get it legally examined once again," the minister added.
