School students in Tamil Nadu have reasons to cheer with the government postponing reopening of schools after the summer vacation by a week in view of the sweltering heat in various parts of the state.
Government sources said schools will reopen on June 10 instead of June 3, the original schedule.
The peak summer season, called Agni Natchathiram or Kathiri season where the mercury soars past 40 deg Celsius, ended today but relatively warm days have been forecast.
