The system, called as 'I-Click', will be introduced at the ATM of a private bank located in the heart of the city on Friday by Chandigarh Inspector General of Police (IGP) R P Upadhyay, a police spokesperson said.
'I click' is an innovative technology-based public complaint filing system of local police for fighting and controlling all kinds of crimes in a tech-savvy manner, he said.
With the help of this system, any person can walk into the ATM, and lodge a police complaint on any issue without visiting any police station or police office, he said.
"This people-centric, citizen-friendly 'I click' will usher in a new era of police-community relations and make people more responsive towards the police," he said.
"It is a citizen friendly kiosk, located in sector 22 of the city, which will enable any person to lodge a complaint at any time of the day or night without fear or intimidation," he said.
