Chhattisgarh: army jawan who died on LoC cremated

The last rites of army jawan Chumman Yadav, who was killed by militants along the Line of Control in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, were performed with full state honours at his native place in Chhattisgarh today.
Hundreds of people had gathered at Muktidham in Chhaoni Bazar area of Bhilainagar to pay respects to Yadav (23).
State ministers Premprakash Pandey, Ramsheela Sahu and MP Tamradhwaj Sahu were also present.
"Yadav was martyred while facing terrorists. The entire country will remember his invaluable sacrifice. Chhaoni ward will be named after Yadav and his statue will be put up here," Pandey announced.
