Child dies, 2 injured in freak bus mishap

A child died and two of his playmates were injured when they were trapped under a bus which was negotiating a bend at Baruipur in South 24 Parganas district today.
Police said the children had no chance to move away as the Gadkhali-bound bus suddenly swerved to their side after hitting an electric pole.
While one of them was declared dead at hospital, the other two were under treatment.
