Chit fund scam: CBI conducts searches in TN, Odisha

CBI today carried out searches across eight places in Odisha and Tamil Nadu in connection with its ongoing probe in the chit fund scam against a private company.
CBI sources said searches were conducted at residential premises of the directors of Rightmax Technotrade International Limited -- Rabindranath Jena, V Lakhanaya and R Venkatrama, among others.
The case relates to the company's operations in Odisha where hundreds of investors were allegedly duped by it.
