Chitra sets sights on winning World Snooker Championship

Chitra Magimairajan, who earned India a bronze in Women's 6-Red Snooker at 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Korea, has now set her sights on winning the World Ladies Snooker Championship.
"There is lot to achieve in snooker and winning the World Championship is my target for now. This is just the beginning. Life begins at 40," she told reporters after being felicitated by Karnataka State Billiards Association here.
Chitra had won the World Ladies Billiards Champion in 2006 and 2007. Chitra further said winning the medal last week was an emotional day for her, but being honoured by KSBA, her second home, is equally memorable.

"I dedicate this medal to my family," Chitra said and thanked the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India, KSBA and other well-wishers for supporting her and believing in her.
"Earlier, I used to win an odd frame against the men, but now I am able to beat them too," the 40-year-old said adding, "I even took a frame off Pankaj Advani!"
