However, the occupants of the four-seater VTHPC-make chopper of TEJ Airways escaped with minor injuries when it made a vertical crash-landing in Chartoda cemetery after declaring an emergency at around 6:22 PM, apparently due to some technical snag, Air Traffic Control (ATC) sources said.
According to the police Sai, two devotees and the pilot were safe and escaped with minor injuries.
The helicopter, hired by Sai, was coming from Godhra and was scheduled to land here at the heliport at Asaram's ashram.
Sai and others were taken to Gomtipur police station.
On August 29 last year, Asaram and four others had a narrow escape when their helicopter crash-landed in Godhra after it had developed a technical snag.
