Chouhan announced to name the residential complex after former BJP President late Kushabhau Thakre and handing over keys to beneficiaries in a function yesterday.
The CM said the government will bear five per cent on interest on loan taken by beneficiaries who have obtained loan at 10 per cent interest rate to share the cost of house.
Due to it, their monthly loan installment will come down to Rs 900 from Rs 1200. No poor person will remain without roof in the state and also announced to open primary and middle schools in the complex.
He also warned that strict action will be taken against slum mafia.
Chouhan said that 50,000 houses for the urban poor will be constructed at Bhopal and a total of five lakh in the state.
The Chief Minister said the poor need not worry about housing and education. There will no paucity of funds for the twin purposes (housing and education).
Poor children have right to education and good jobs. He administered oath to residents to educate children and keep complex clean. He expressed gratitude to those who helped the poor obtain houses.
Mayor Shri Alok Sharma said in the welcome address that beginning has been made to give houses to every poor person. He assured of every possible co-operation to fulfil Chief Minister's resolve to provide house to every poor person.
