R&B star Chris Brown crashed his car into a wall while being chased by paparazzi, but escaped unhurt. Around noon on Saturday, a day before the Grammy awards, the 23-year-old singer was travelling in his Porsche to an event when his journey was interrupted by some journalists. The car crash occurred in Beverly Hills as Brown tied to avoid them, reported Just Jared. "Chris Brown was in a car accident this afternoon after being ruthlessly pursued by paparazzi. He was in his vehicle by himself headed to the Debbie Allen Dance Academy for a Symphonic Love Foundation event when two vehicles cut him off," his representative said. "The occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached his vehicle. In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley at which point his was cut off by two additional vehicles. Chris' vehicle was totalled due to this aggressive pursuit by the paparazzi. He is okay," Brown's rep added. Police are investigating the incident. Incidentally, the accident happened on that same day in 2009 that Brown famously beat up his girlfriend Rihanna and their scheduled appearances at the Grammys the next day were cancelled. Both Brown and Rihanna are slated to appear at this year's Grammys too, taking place in LA tonight.
