CID conducted 80,000 verification in J-K in 2013: DGP

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has conducted 80,000 verifications in 2013 in Jammu and Kashmir, Director General of Police Ashok Prasad said today.
"Besides its other multi dimensional duties, more than 80,000 verifications were carried out by CID Wing during the year," the DGP said.
It has helped the aspirants, including Haj pilgrims and the students, intending to travel abroad, to get their passports and other service matters cleared within short time span, he said.
