A CII team comprising office-bearers and members of CII North Bengal and Young Indians (Yi) Siliguri chapter will reach the Gorkha area on May 2 to distribute the relief materials, a release said.
Gorkha, 380 km away from Siliguri, is amongst the worst affected area in Nepal's devastating earthquake where little relief has reached yet.
The relief materials will consist of 1 tonne dry food, 1,000 blankets, 500 tarpaulins, 200 mattress, medicines and mineral water bottles.
The release said CII has stepped up its relief work for the earthquake-hit victims in Nepal in close coordination with the Government of India and the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI).
A CII team has already handed over relief materials in Kakrivitta in the first phase.
