Civil hospital employee commits suicide

An employee of the civil hospital here has allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance after he was accused of theft.
Vikram Pal (28), a resident of Achli gate, was posted as a temporary class IV employee, police said.
He found a silver chain from the bathroom when he was cleaning it.
Narinder Singh, a resident of nearby Damodar village, alleged that he had stolen the chain from the delivery ward where his wife Baljit Kaur was admitted.
In the meantime, Vikram went to his house and ended is life after consuming some poisonous substance, police said.
The relatives of deceased Vikram Pal sat on a dharna in front of emergency ward and demanded registration of murder case against Narinder Singh.

A police team led by DSP (City) Ravinder Pal Singh Dhillon and SHO City Narinder Singh pacified them and registered a case under relevant sections of IPC against Narinder Singh, police said.
