Actor Claire Foy, popularly known for playing Queen Elizabeth on Netflix's "The Crown", is set to star in the sequel, titled "The Girl in the Spiders Web", based on the fourth installment of the Millennium series, reported Vareity.
Bang recently appeared in Cannes Palme d'Or winner "The Square". The film was directed Ruben Ostlund and also features actor Elisabeth Moss, Dominic West and Terry Notary.
Foy will play the lead role of Lisbeth Salander, which was previously portrayed by actors Rooney Mara and Noomi Rapace.
Production is set to begin in January in Berlin and Stockholm, with a release date of October 19, 2018.
