On July 4, supporters of SP leader Satpal Yadav had accused local leader Mahesh Yadav of trying to tamper with an EVM.
This led to clashes between two groups, after which the SP leaders's supporters registered FIR against Mahesh's supporters.
Clashes again broke out today when Mahesh Yadav accused the SP leader's supporters of wreaking havoc in a school run by him and damaging vehicles parked outside.
Shots were fired in the air during the clashes and police rushed to the spot to pacify the two groups, they said.
A few supporters of the SP leader were taken into preventive custody, they said.
