Sonu Sharma, student of Gautam Buddha Balak Inter College and a hostelite, had gone missing on March 4 after he left from home, they said.
On not being able to trace him, his family members lodged a missing persons report the next day suspecting kidnapping, they said.
As he is still not traceable, the police have lodged a case of kidnapping.
"A kidnapping case has been lodged and manhunt is on to trace the missing boy. A police team has been formed to search him," said a police officer at Jewar police station.
