The deceased was identified as Sibani Panda of Tanhara who was studying at Khambeya Dora College, Pochilima.
The Police said she, along with two others, was going in a motorbike from Berhampur to her village when the mishap took place. The other two escaped unhurt.
The Aska-Berhampur road was blocked by angry residents for sometime following the incident.
"We have cleared the road and sent the body for post-mortem. The truck was seized, but its driver fled," said A K Sethi, Inspector in-charge of Berhampur Sadara police station.
