Clerk embezzles Rs 85 lakhs in UP

A case against the clerk, Anil Kumar, and bank officials of the United Bank of India was registered today, police said.

Kumar opened a fake account and in collaboration with some officials of the local bank, chief development officer, Digvijay Singh, told reporters here today.

Police have filed a case of cheating against the clerk and bank officials in this connection. The clerk is said to be absconding, he said.
