Telangana Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao today stressed on taking the state government's welfare and development initiatives during the last four-and-half-years to the people.

Rao, who held a meeting with the party's office bearers, MPs and MLAs here, said the state government's achievements should be presented before the people effectively, party sources said.

The ruling party has planned to organise a massive public meeting here on September 2, with the target of mobilising 25 lakh people.

Rao today visited the place at Kongara Kalan where the meeting is scheduled to be held and gave instructions to the leaders on the event, the sources said.

The party leaders told Rao that they are ready to face the polls whenever they are held, they said.

There has been speculation about the possibility of advancing Legislative Assembly polls scheduled to be held simultaneoulsly with the Lok Sabha elections next year.

Rao said he would extensively campaign with the target to win 100 (out of 119) assembly segments, the sources said.
