The victim, a student of class 10th, was caught while stealing after which she told her relatives that she was being blackmailed by the tutor, who had allegedly filmed her through a secret camera in the toilet of the institute, a police official said.
The accused threatened her to upload the video clip on social media sites and exploited her.
He allegedly told her to steal cash,ornaments and other items from her as well as relatives house, the police said.
On the complaint of the victim,a case has been registered against the tutor under sections 386 (extortion), 376 (rape) and POCSOact, police officials said.
The accused was arrested and sent to custody yesterday, they said adding further investigations are on.
