Cold conditions prevail in parts of Punjab, Haryana
Press Trust of India Chandigarh Cold conditions continued in most parts of Punjab and Haryana today with minimum temperatures hovering several notches below normal.
Narnaul in Haryana and Amritsar in Punjab were the coldest places with both cities recording a low of 3.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, the MeT Department said.
Chandigarh, the joint capital of Haryana and Punjab, registered a low of 7.7 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal.
In Haryana, the minimum temperature in Hisar and Karnal was 4.4 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal while Ambala recorded a low of 9.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
In Punjab, Ludhiana registered a low of 7.3 degrees Celsius while in Patiala the minimum temperature was 8.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
