Cold conditions prevail in UP

Cold conditions prevailed at some places in Uttar Pradesh with fog engulfing eastern and western parts of the state, a MeT Department report said.
Weather was dry and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Jhansi at 4 degrees Celsius, it said.
The temperature fell appreciably in Faizabad, Allahabad and Kanpur divisions.
The mercury was appreciably below normal in Varanasi and Jhansi divisions, appreciably above normal in Meerut division, and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.
MeT department has forcast that fog would occur at a few places over east UP tomorrow and rain or thundershowers would occur at isolated places over west UP.
