Cold grips UP, Najibabad coldest at 3.5 C

Mercury fell in several parts of the Uttar Pradesh with Najibabad recording the lowest night temperature at 6 degrees Celsius.
Night temperatures fell appreciably in Varanasi, Faizabad,
Allahabad, Lucknow, Moradabad, Jhansi divisions and fell in Gorakhpur and Kanpur divisions, the MeT office said here.
Lowest minimum temperature of 3.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Najibabad (Bijnore).
The MeT department has forecast that the weather would be dry and fog would occur at few places in the morning hours in the state.
