"The sit-in dharna was also attended by 'karamcharis' (employees) and students of the college whose moral support was welcomed by the teachers' body", said Manish kumar, President SSN College Teachers Association.
The teachers said their protest will continue till August 29 following which classes will continue uninterrupted.
The association is planning to take up the issue during the general body meeting of Delhi University Teachers' Association (DUTA) on August 29.
The college principal had sacked the teachers as the college had crossed the cap of 173 teachers, allegedly violating the UGC's July 21 instructions.
