The accident occurred when Runa Khatun, a first year student of Kaliachak College, was returning home on the motorbike with her husband and sister.
Police said a lorry hit the bike and the three fell down. While Runa died, her sister Fatema was injured.
Runa's husband, however, did not sustain much injury.
She came to Malda from Kaliachak to write the first year final examination.
The police arrested the lorry driver.
