Recalling her association with Puar, Mahajan said that she was in contact with him when he used to be active in the BJP's youth wing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Dewas.
BJP MLA and former Madhya Pradesh minister Puar (51) died today at a private hospital where he was undergoing treatment after he slipped in his bathroom and sustained severe injuries on his head on June 15.
Sumitra described Puar as a dedicated and a youthful worker who had maintained good relations with the people of entire Dewas region.
Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav, MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his cabinet colleagues also expressed their condolences on Puar's death as well as remembered his contribution as former tourism minister.
Expressing deep sorrow over Puar's death, Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh also described him as a youthful and energetic leader as well as a good friend.
