A day after the Vijay Bahuguna government charged Ramdev's Trust with gross violation of land laws, Congress in Uttarakhand today burnt effigies of the Yoga guru demanding his immediate arrest.

Congress workers gathered outside party offices in all 13 district headquarters and burnt Ramdev's effigies.

"Ramdev has not only plundered the natural resources of Uttarakhand but also caused loss of revenue to the state exchequer by evading stamp duty," Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Rajiv Maharshi said.
