Cong fields Wangsu as its candidate for Kanubari seat

Congress today announced Gabriel D Wangsu as its candidate for October 15 by-elections at Kanubari Assembly seat in Arunachal Pradesh.
Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Padi Richo announced the name of Wangsu.
Wangsu had contested unsuccessfully from the constituency in 2009 and 2014 as People's Party of Arunachal and Independent candidate respectively.
By-poll to the seat was necessitated following the death Newlai Tingkhatra before declaration of the result of April 19 Assmbly elections in the state this year.
Tingkhatra had won the seat posthumously.
