Cong finds 'fault' in Mohalla clinics, alleges corruption

Delhi Congress today alleged corruption in the running of the Mohalla clinics as it released its survey report highlighting "lapses and ad-hocism" in the Kejriwal government's ambitious health project.
Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken said the report was prepared on the basis of a two-day survey conducted by Congress volunteers who covered the 105 Mohalla clinics opened by the AAP government in Delhi.
"The Mohalla clinics have been opened without any detailed analysis or study. These clinics lack basic facilities and there is no public participation which is evident as Delhi is reeling under a spurt of dengue and chikungunya," he said.

He alleged that these clinics were opened by the Delhi government at properties of AAP volunteers "violating" the rules.
"There are several clinics which have been opened on properties of AAP members and office-bearers on rents many times more than the market rate which is nothing but corruption and waste of hard-earned money of the people of Delhi," Maken said.
Congress has demanded that the AAP government ensured these clinics were not run on "ad-hoc" basis and proper facilities were provided there to the people.
It also demanded opening of Mohalla clinics for 12 hours every day and round-the-clock emergency services there.
