Controversial Congress MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh 'Champion' was today stripped of his ministerial rank as he was removed from the post of Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation Chairman.
Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has approved his removal from the post, official sources said.
Recently, Singh had created controversy by allegedly opening fire at the residence of state Agriculture Minister Harak Singh Rawat during a party leaving two persons, including a party leader, injured.
The Congress MLA had also made objectionable statements against Bahuguna and a cabinet minister, according to sources.
