Maharashtra BJP president Devendra Fadnavis today claimed that Modi wave exists not only in urban areas but also in rural pockets of the region and exuded confidence is winning all 10 Lok Sabha seats from Vidarbha.
"It will not be a big surprise, if the BJP-Sena wins all the 10 Lok Sabha seats from Vidarbha," Fadnavis said at a press conference here.
"I have intensively toured the region in the last 10 days and addressed about 45 public meetings in villages as well as cities in all ten constituencies where the BJP is contesting six seats and ally Shiv Sena is contesting four seats," he said.
Fadnavis said the "wave" is perceptible, but the Congress is living in "denial mode" turning a blind eye to it.
Four public rallies addressed by BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi at Wardha, Amravati, Akola and Chandrapur in the region were hugely successful in terms of attendance, he claimed.
In Nagpur and Bhandara-Gondia, Modi rallies could not be arranged because of technical problems, but that does not mean campaigning in these two plaaces suffered, he said.
"In Nagpur, Nitin Gadkari is confident of winning by at least a margin of 50,000 votes," Fadnavis said.
On the other hand, Congress candidate and sitting MP Vilas Muttemwar spent nearly five hours in North and Central Nagpur assembly segments.
