Seeking to put Narendra Modi-led dispensation on the defensive before the Winter Session of Parliament, Congress is working on bringing out a booklet which will project it as a government of "U-turns".
A senior Congress leader said that a compilation of contradictions between the promises made by BJP to people before elections and what actions it took since it came to office six months ago will be released soon.
Congress has been consistent in attacking the Prime Minister over his "U-turns" on issues such as black money and national security.
The party had come out with a booklet, titled '100 Days of Misrule', after 100 days of Modi government charging it with not fulfilling any of the promises made during election campaigns. Modi was accused of being a "dream merchant" selling "false dreams" to the citizens.
Senior Congress leaders have said that despite the party being a "constructive" Opposition, the government has been less than reciprocative.
The absence of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the Union Cabinet expansion two weeks back is being seen as a pointer in this regard.
Congress has been denied the Leader of Opposition status in the Lok Sabha on the contention that its numbers were less than one tenth strength of the House.
The session is also being held at a time when leaders of various political parties belonging to the 'Janata Parivar' are talking about joint floor management strategy and also for exploring a joint front against a resurgent BJP.
