Cong workers take out morcha to demand loan waiver to farmers

The Congress workers here today took out a morcha to demand a total loan-waiver for the farmers.
The protest march was led by senior Congress leader Vasant Purke.
They also demanded restoration of the five per cent reservation for the Muslim community.
The protesters later handed over a memorandum of demands to the collector Kiran Gitte.
Among other things, it demanded assistance of Rs 10,000 per hectare for resowing, immediate withdrawal of Land Acquisition Act, reduction in rail fare, waiver of electricity bills of farmers, etc.
