"CBI should investigate the matter and alongside my role in the scam should also be investigated. Only then the truth would come out that Trinamool leaders took money from Saradha," Chowdhury told reporters here.
The Trinamool Congress has sought his resignation for his alleged links with the Sarada group.
"If proved that I have taken money from them then I am ready to quit," the Union Minister of State for Health said.
The minister insisted he had no clue about the financial irregularities in the Saradha group.
In one of the three letters to the Prime Minister in March last year, Chowdhury gave a clean chit to Saradha saying it was "in compliance with all mandatory and legal guidelines of the Companies Act and without any noted violation of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs".
