Congress activists will organise a daylong protest at Jagdishpur here on April 17 against Centre's decision to scrap the Mega Food Park project declared by previous UPA government.
Amethi district Congress president Yogendra Mishra said the proposed project was a dream one of Amethi MP and party vice president Rahul Gandhi.
"Congress activists will protest anti-farmer policy of central government at all costs," he said.
Rahul's representative in Amethi, Chandra Kant Dubey also said that BJP led central government is blocking all the projects of Amethi and Rae Bareli started by UPA regime and "we shall protest it".
The Mega Food Park project was declared by Rahul weeks before the declaration of previous Lok Sabha polls.
